Cracking your knuckles does not actually hurt your bones or cause arthritis. The sound you hear is just gas bubbles bursting.

Cracking your knuckles (or any of your joints) can have therapeutic benefits. When you crack one of your joints you are pulling the bones that are connected at the joint apart from each other. This process stimulates your tendons, relaxes your muscles, and loosens your joints. Chiropractors do this for spinal joints when your back is sore and stiff, but you can do this on your own for your knuckles, toes, knees, neck, etc.

Unfortunately, there can be too much of a good thing. Cracking your knuckles will never lead to arthritis (despite what your mom keeps telling you), but scientists have discovered that it can cause tissue damage in the affected joints. Knuckle-cracking pulls your finger bones apart which stretches your ligaments. Too much stretching of your ligaments will cause damage to your fingers akin to the arm injuries sustained by a baseball pitcher who throws too many pitches. In addition to making your hand really sore, this ligament damage can also result in reduced grip strength.

How does this work? Your joints, the places in your body where you can bend, are where your bones intersect and are held together by ligaments. These joints are surrounded by a liquid called synovial fluid. When you stretch your ligaments by pulling the bones apart to crack your knuckles a gas in the synovial fluid escapes and turns into a bubble. This process is called cavitation. Cavitation ends when the bubble eventually bursts, producing that popping sound we know and love. After that, your joints won't be able to crack for another 25-30 minutes while the gas gets reabsorbed into the synovial fluid.

I've played both games now, and before, I would've just said Prototype wins. But there's allot more to it than that. They both have their pros and cons but all-in-all, are both pretty good games. Amlost the same as a whole. Let me tell you why:

STORYLINES: Most people say Infamous has a better storyline, but after playing both, I may have to agree a little. Not completely. Infamous' story is told in a very direct manner, while still maintaining the guise of complexity. It let's the story unfold somewhat smoothly as you play, and makes you want to know what happens in the next cutscene. I must say; the writer is a fantastic one. Prototype however, does not (on it's exterior) seem to have much of an interesting storyline at all. The connection you should be having with the character isn't quite there, and events just seem to be unfolding with no propper introduction to them. Prototype's storyline is actually pretty complex and interesting once you've unlocked all the web of intrigue clips. I've come to find that Prototype actually has a more complex and interesting storyline, but it's so unfortunate, how they make you have to unlock all these web of intrigue clips to really appreciate it. I had to play prototype at least twice, to get what was going on. So Prototype's storyline is actually (as a whole) better than Infamous', but because it is not direct, I give it to Infamous!

CHARACTER GAMEPLAY: Cole (Infamous) is a free-runner with the power of electricity. He has quite a few abilities but lacks SPEED. I like how he free-runs his way around, but it can be quite a tedious form of getting around. At least he has power lines and railway tracks at his disposal (for quick sliding of one place to another) though. I like how you can re-charge his electric power off of anything conductive, but his attack abilities are too limited for me. While Alex Mercer (Prototype) is a Virus morphed into the form of a human being who's memories he is trying to re-attain. He has a maltitude of fighting abilities with devastating amounts of power, and is able to travel REALLY fast. His running is quite amazing, and he can go anywhere. He jumps to heights (that Cole would take a few mins to CLIMB to) in seconds. You can fly helicopters and drive tanks in Prototype, but can't drive/fly anything is Infamous. Alex Mercer clearly is the most powerful of the two as well. Comparing the two would be like taking spiderman (Cole) and putting him against a Hulk and Superman combination (Alex Mercer). So this one goes to Alex Mercer!

GRAPHICS: It goes to Infamous. Full stop! But Prototype is also quite the nice-looking game.

ENVIRONMENTS: Prototype's has it seperted into sections of destruction and sections of peace. While every aspect of Infamous' environment is destroyed. I didn't like that at all. They could've at least had a few normal and peacful areas. So Prototype gets it here!

LENGTH OF GAMES: They are equally long. Prototye would be a bit long because you have to spend time finding web of intrigue targets after you finish the game. And Infamous is a bit long because you have to play the game twice (once for good storyline, and once for evil storyline).

OVERALL: Well it just boils down to preference and fanboyishness. If I had to pick ONE game though, it would be prototype, because the character is just so powerful and fast. And the environments aren't all destroyed. But for the initial "Haha cool" that Infamous brings, Infamous gets quite some points. So it's neck-and-neck until the sequels release

Aside from the gymkhana's thrills and spills one of the other gripes from Dirt fans concerned the lack of simulation rally. Sure, Dirt 2 has a number of decent, but short, rally stages and the bombastic rally cross, which is full of jumps, but the hardcore want some serious action to get their hands on - and that's just what they've got.
With the WRC license now at their disposal, Codemasters have stretched their previous rally attempt to replicate the real thing in Dirt 3. So now you'll be racing through stages from around the world that will be affected by real-time weather effects. One minute you could be bombing down a dusty jungle road in blistering sunshine only for the weather to flip on you and deliver monsoon conditions. This will certainly test your mettle as you battle the clock and the ever-changing elements.

Dirt 3 Minimum System Requirements

o OS: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7
o CPU: AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 2.8GHz, Intel Pentium® D 2.8Ghz
o RAM: 2GB
o Hard Disk Space: 15GB
o GFX: AMD RadeonTM HD 2000 256MB, NVIDIA® GeForce® 8000 Series 256MB
o DirectX®: DirectX® 9
o Sound: DirectX® compatible soundcard
[Minimum requirements are the bare minimum to get the game playing. In some cases you may even need to reduce the screen resolution.]

The first time I played Halo, it really irritated me that melee attacks were so powerful. It's actually better to smack an opponent with a pistol than to shoot him in the face with it. How stupid is that? But eventually, I got it: Halo's unusual elements, like those supercharged melee attacks and the low-gravity bunny-hopping, created a set of physics in the game that doesn't exist on Earth. By adjusting the parameters of reality, the developers got you to play the game in a different way—a way that was actually a lot more fun.

Developers haven't stopped trying to change the way we play shooter games—just look at Vanquish or Bulletstorm. The latest entry in this genre is Brink, which forces you to rethink the differences between single-player and multiplayer, change the way you move, and adopt new tactics. It might be too much to call Brink the Halo of its time, but it is still one of the most innovative first-person shooters to come out since Master Chief made his debut.

Brink Screenshot

The most innovative aspect of Brink is that the single-player and multiplayer games are basically the same thing. Whenever you start playing, you decide whether you're playing alone, with co-op partners, or with both co-op partners and human-controlled enemies. Each mission is a series of objectives in which one team tries to accomplish something and the other team tries to stop them. You can play through the entire campaign as two different factions, each with its own set of cutscenes, for a total of 16 missions.

Movement in Brink is unique as well. By holding the left bumper, you go into the "SMART" (Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain) system, meaning that you sprint across the ground, climbing over any obstacles that get in your way. Normally, these kinds of systems are prone to malfunctions, but I very rarely did anything I wasn't trying to with it. Also, you can customize the controls if you hate using a bumper button to run (I certainly did).

Brink Screenshot

The one criticism I have of the movement is that it isn't quite fast enough. When you create a character, you choose from one of three body types. Medium is the default option, light characters move faster but can't carry powerful guns, and heavy characters move slowly but carry huge guns. (You have to unlock the heavy and light types, but that happens early on.) Even with light characters, I found myself longing for the super-speed sliding of Vanquish, or at least more opportunities to use my parkour skills à la Mirror's Edge. That's not a lot to ask considering how much the SMART system was hyped in the pre-release buzz. This problem is compounded by the fact that light characters are essentially useless with weapons, meaning most players will stick with less-mobile medium characters. (To be fair, you can improve your character's stats by leveling up, and you can complete challenges to unlock more powerful weapons for all of the character types. Perhaps some experienced players will find light characters workable.)

Also, Brink's developers made a serious effort to overcome the various problems that plague multiplayer first-person shooters today. If you hate grenade-spamming, you'll be delighted to hear that grenades in Brink don't do much damage and are on a cooldown timer. If you're sick of weak sound effects, you'll be thrilled by the intense music and the almost unnervingly loud gunshots. In addition, the EXP system is designed to punish selfishness; each character class has "buffs" they can give to their teammates (soldiers give extra ammo, medics give health, etc.), and giving buffs nets you far more EXP than killing the enemy does. The other major feature of character classes is that they can accomplish certain kinds of objectives, such as planting charges or repairing tanks, which discourages players from finding a favorite class and sticking with it. (You can change between classes in-game whenever you come across a command post.)

Brink Screenshot

However, there are some problems that even Brink doesn't fix. For starters, you'll die almost constantly when the enemy team bands together in a group, especially when you're playing solo and don't have any decent players to help you stand against the bots. This can be frustrating for those who are used to more traditional campaigns. In fact, I would not advise playing this game by yourself at all, or at least without turning down the difficulty. (When you die, you can either respawn at a command post or wait for a medic to get around to healing you.) The escort missions are downright silly, because the NPCs you're tasked with escorting have a tendency to walk brazenly into the line of fire and require medical attention repeatedly.

Folder Lock is a professional tool which allows users to lock their files and folders with passwords. This software will password-protect the files on your computer as well as those stored on various storage means like flash drives, CDs, floppy-disks (if anyone still uses them), and on laptops or netbooks. If you are going to copy the files and folders to another computer, then the protection will still be there even though the tool is not installed on other computers.
Folder Lock 6.4.0 comes packed with a lot of features and it can make your password protected files un-deletable, very secure, and hidden so that you can hide them from your kids, friends, wife, lover, or from whoever you want. Probably the best thing aboutFolder Lock is that it will also keep your files safe from malware including viruses, spyware, worms, and trojans. If you are going to share your files via network then the files will be protected from them.
Folder Lock 6.4.0 can also lock as well as encrypt files and folders. Like aforementioned, the tool comes with the ability to lock your computer, lock files on Windows Explorer, lock files and folders on kernel level and DOS mode. The difference is that security then you should go for encryption, while if you want speed then you should go for lock. If you don’t want to forget where are you locked files, then you can arrange them in only one folder and lock the folder itself meaning that you’re good to go, but safe!
Folder Lock 6
This software provides very fast encryption and locking as well as 256-bit AES Encryption security, a fact which cannot be provided by others. If you want to uninstall the files locked with Folder Lock 6.4.0 then the software will ask you the password, meaning that nobody can mess around with your computer.
If you are going to send locked files via the internet then users will not be able to open them until you send them the password, and if a hacker manages to get hold on your documents, then he will have a hard timein decrypting the password. Folder Lock 6.4.0 is compatible with all Windows versions as well as all HDD format types including FAT32 and NTFS.
Like aforementioned, you can setup a special folder where you can keep all protected files. It’s called Locker and it doesn’t need a specific size as it can be increased with ease. Folder Lock 6.4.0 will not save the password on your HDD or in the registries therefore nobody will be able to steal your password.
Folder 6.4.0 is available for free download, however, it comes with a 20-day trial and if you want to protect your files forever then you will have to pay the $39.95 fee to get the full version.

Have you ever found yourself wanting to play a prank on somebody, but the traditional methods just aren’t available, or aren’t enough? If you’re the kind of guy I am, I bet you did. But again, if you’re anything like I am, you won’t give up so easy. So here’s some of the funniest pranks you can play on your friends, colleagues, even parents or neighbours.
The unclickable icons
If the person you’re playing the prank to isn’t very good with computers, or if he or she isn’t in the mood to get to the bottom of little jokes, this one will be an instant success. Playing it isn’t hard at all.
First, minimize all your windows and create (or drag) a couple icons in it. Be sure you won’t need these icons later. Position them on the desktop, then press the “Print Screen” button. Go to any image editor (MS Paint works just fine), and paste the screenshot from your clipboard (CTRL + V, or Edit -> Paste). Save the image, then delete the icons that you have put on the desktop (again, be sure they’re not very important). Now set the image you saved as a wallpaper. You’ll see the icons just where you left them, but you can’t click, move or delete them.
untitled.JPG untitled3.JPG
The “Reversed buttons” prank
I’m not sure this works on all Windows versions, but it’s worth giving a shot. Simply enter your Control Panel, open your Mouse Settings, browse it until you find a box that allows you to modify the mouse buttons’ functions. This way the left button will right click and the right button will left click. Confusing, huh? Imagine how confused your victim will be.

The Autocorrect joke
This is as easy as pie, but you have to know the person you’ll be playing the prank on a bit. If he or she uses a text editor (let’s say Microsoft Office), open it, go to the AutoCorrect Options, and make it so that it replaces ordinary words with… anything you like. Here’s the box that should appear in Office 2003:
The “Keyboard not present. Press F1 to continue” prank
It’s not too difficult, and you don’t need to know a lot PC operating to do it. Just look in the back of your PC unit, find the mouse and the keyboard and simply switch their places. This way, when a person boots the computer, it will show an error message, telling him that no keyboard is present. But strangely, the wires aren’t ripped out…
(This only works on PS/2 keyboards & mice)
The randomkey joke
This is the first of the two ready-made pranks, that you just need to run. This application types a random key every minute. It’s really annoying when you type a big file. Download the randomkey file here. To disable it, reboot your PC.
The Clippy prank
If you’ve ever used Microsoft Word, then chances are you’ve been annoyed by that clip that keeps appearing. Well, this application is its equivalent in Windows. Run it, and Clippy will sit silently for a minute, then randomly appear and say useless things. You can also personalize it and choose what you want it to say. To close it, simply point your mouse to the top left corner of your screen. Get it
